Participatory design occurs when professional designers do work with the community members who will use design. Traditional (colonial) participatory leaves choice of methodology in hands designer, leader or facilitator, often chooses extractivist methods and methodologies, contradicting very relationality, equity, participation intended through Using such creates situations which participating conduct extractivist, transactional against their own communities. In contrast, Radical Design decolonizes processes as communities not only equally participate, but also equitably lead process, naturally leading to asset-based methodologies. Though is a type relational because process done relationally elevating knowledge expertise, we go further describe an explicit Relational Design. What would look like if it participatorily, replace activities ones? Because involves production solicitation knowledge, rearticulate presence healthy relationships. With that understanding We discuss connection between systems relationships why important for positive change impact. then one possible specific have used space educational systems: sustained dialogue framework. this framework, how each phase generic changes using dialogue. As health system increases, need usefulness positivist based on third-person knowing decreases.
